St. John's Wort, Glade (Hypericum dolabriforme)

This type of St. John’s wort can naturally be found in cedar glades most often, hence its common name. It creates a yellow bloom characteristic of its other genus members, with nearly 150 showy stamens from the center of the flower, May to August. It will take full sun to part shade and medium to dry soil. Bees will visit.

Zones: Found naturally from Indiana to Mid Georgia.
