Holly, Winterberry "Winter Red" (Ilex verticillata "Winter Red")

15.75

A native deciduous holly shrub with wonderful winter interest. Small, insignificant white flowers produce red berries late summer or fall that last through the winter into early spring. This holly needs a male counterpart called Southern Gentleman to pollinate it so that it can produce these red berries. Berries will attract birds. It is erosion, clay soil, wet soil, and air pollution tolerant. It would be a great hedge plant or addition to a rain garden.
