Iron Butterfly (Veronia lettermannii)

11.95

A dwarf variety of Ironweed, Iron Butterfly grows 30-36 inches and produces beautiful violet blooms. Bees and butterflies are attracted to them when they bloom late summer to fall. The foliage without bloom looks similar to Amsonia hubrichtii (Arskansas Bluestar), meaning it is a great plant to add a texture design element to your garden aside from more typical leaves. It prefers full sun and prefers dry to average moisture soil. It is drought tolerant.
