Blue-Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium)

Tiny, delicate, blue-violet flowers bloom in early spring on grass-like stems that form in dense clumps. This is a moisture loving species naturally found in meadows, damp fields and low, open woods. The plants may self-seed readily.  It is a good early-season pollinator plant for Halictine bees.
