Reaching 3-10 inches tall, dwarf trillium is a rare, petite wildflower that typically grows in a seasonally wet swamps, yet performs well in a shade gardens with moist, organically rich soil.  The purplish leaves emerge in early spring, changing to deep green. The white, ruffled flower petals turn pink as they age.

Caution: the roots and berries are poisonous if ingested
