Goats Beard (Aruncus dioicus)

Feathery masses of white flowers bloom in late spring on this 3-6’ high perennial. Grows in shade to part shade, but can be planted in sunny areas provided there is good moisture. Native habitat is damp, fertile woods and mountainous areas. Larval host to the Dusky Azure Butterfly.
