Small white flowers bloom on this native wildflower April to May, attracting a variety of bees and butterflies. Mustard White and West Virginia White butterfly caterpillars feed on the foliage. Its partial shade and medium soil moisture requirements lend this plant to be a good addition to woodlands and shaded portions of rock gardens.
