Wild Red Columbine (Aquilegia canadensis)

An important, early season nectar source from May through June for hummingbirds and long-tongued insects, this beautiful woodland native grows easily in average, well-drained soil.  It self-seeds to spread its cheerful red and yellow color around the garden. Grows 1-3 feet tall.
