Yellow Indigo (Baptisia sphaerocarpa)

This baptisia produces masses of large, yellow blossoms in June and July that are held above the attractive silvery-green foliage.  It is slow to establish, but long-lived, preferring full sun and average to dry soil. Grows to 3 feet. The marble-sized round seed pods are a distinguishing feature. Poisonous if ingested.
