GARDEN SITE: Full Sun to Part Shade. Moist, acidic (pH<6.8) Soil. Tolerates winter flooding

SIZE: 3-6 ft. tall. Spread: 2-3 ft.

FLOWERS: Creamy yellowish/white blooms with deep, dark red center, June-October.

WILDLIFE: Attracts Butterflies and birds.

LARVAL HOST TO: Gray Hairstreak, Painted Lady Butterfly, Common Checkered Skipper and Tropical Checkered Skipper butterflies.

ZONE: 7-10

Native habitats include: pairie, Plains, Meadows, Pastures, Savannas, Woodland edges and openings. Hairy species.
