FLOWERS: White, greenish-yellow. May-June.

WILDLIFE: Fruits are attractive to birds and other wildlife.

DISTRIBUTION: Eastern and Midwestern United States

A stately, deciduous tree with a spreading crown and pendulous branches with dark green, glossy leaves. American persimmon is dioecious and will require the presence of both male and female trees to produce fruits. A great choice for rain gardens and as a shade tree. Drought, Clay Soil, Dry Soil, Rocky Soil, Black Walnut and Air Pollution tolerant.
