GARDEN SITE: ☀️ Adaptable to a variety of soils, but thrives best in well-drained soil. Tolerant of clay and poor soil but will not persist in consistently moist or rich garden locations.

Renowned for its adaptability and ornamental value, this native clumping grass will add both color and texture to sunny gardens and naturalized landscapes. During the growing season the foliage is a soft shade of blue-green, turning to copper-orange or red in the fall. The silvery, white seed heads become a rich golden brown in the fall and persist well into winter, making this a valuable food source for many different bird species. Well adapted to Southern climates, this versatile grass is tolerant of heat, humidity, salt, drought, rocky soil and is resistant to deer and rabbit browse.
